Haiti Relief Charity Happy Hour at Mutiny
The Mutiny Hotel (2951 S. Bayshore Drive) has put together a Haiti Relief Charity Happy Hour. It's Wednesday, January 27 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm.
Suggested donation is $20.00, your first drink and hors d'oeuvres are complimentary, donated by Atchana's East/West Kitchen. After that, there will be drink specials all night.
Musicians Cleaveland Jones and Fabian Hernandez will be performing and Norwegian supermodel Monica Hansen will be coming to lend a hand and also film for her reality TV show that is hugely popular in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and most of Europe. Monica was Maxim Woman of the Year 2006 awarded by the readers of Maxim Germany and has appeared in over 52 magazines worldwide in last two years, Playboy, Maxim, Stuff, Elle, FHM, Esquire, OYE, and Max to name a few.
Funds raised from the entry fee will be used by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) solely for Haiti relief and re-development. IRC has a team of first responders in Haiti working with other international aid organizations to deal with the immediate crisis. What makes IRC different is that it will be increasing its presence in the coming weeks as it focuses on providing infrastructure for clean water, sanitation and for the setting up of temporary schools IRC expects to be working in Haiti for more than a year on these projects -- long after relief workers have left.
