Shedding some light on South Bayshore Drive

The street lights have been out on South Bayshore Drive from the Glass House area to Monty's. It makes the Grove looked "closed for business" at night and with a rapist on the loose, it might be a good thing to have the place lit up.

Apparently FPL says it is a "relay" that needs replacing. They promised to replace it today. Hopefully they do. We have been in the dark for a week or more. This is not acceptable.

If they don't get it fixed file a complaint with the FL PSC http://www.psc.state.fl.us/.

I have been fighting with them to fix the lights on the tree Island on Mcfarlane Road for years. What a bunch of losers.

Try having the City/County fix South Bayshore Drive's pathetic pavement and sidewalks for cyclists/runners/walkers. Best of luck. CI

I believe South Bayshore is a county road...maybe a state road.

They are completely incompetent when it comes to repairing broken street lights. They ignore repeated requests even when inside their website.

I'm suspicious of other reasons. Coral Gables streetlights are out all along Sunset. I work in Doral and parking lot lights that have always been lit are now also dark at night. Maybe a cost-cutting measure by the city?
