Those information Booths are so ugly, painted black, they probably scare our Tourists and visitors away. You come here looking for the Sun, bright colors, not some dark-prison-looking sinister Cage which is usually empty anyway. I propose several options: 1/ Get rid of them, bite the bullet, admit the blatant mistake. 2/ Paint them over with Cocoanut Trees, yellow, blue, bright, friendly colors, something! and have the booth guy BE THERE, especially now during these crouded times. Not necessarilly locked up in the intimidating little Dark Dungeons, but dressed up in Hawaiian shirts or something, with some fresh Calypso Music coming out of the new booths, proper badges, friendly multi-lingual guys, if possible, walking around the Booths. Right now it's just a dark, inneficient joke and a waste of money. BTW, I always enjoy talking to these guys around the maps! CI
I did Yesterday!
Sounds like the perfect job for the Grape, i.e., some Grape volunteers, maybe some more of those grape colored balloons----AnnaMarie, ask David Collins for permission to have some artist paint some peacocks and coconut trees on the booths----anon 1:08 just might have a good point.
I agree the booths should look more friendly and inviting. Why don't we rent them out to some one who will pay the city rent and man them all day giving out information. It would be like a Coconut Grove concierge selling local activities and excursions in the Grove and around Miami
