Cleaning up the streets
Recently over 60 criminals were apprehended in Village West and about a third of them were sent off to federal penitentiaries. So the police are cracking down and again, with the help of neighbors who see things and report them, the streets can be cleaned up and stay clean.

It seems that sometimes this is a venue to sound off and "gripe". But rarely if ever when there are positive things there are a lot of posts.
Thank you Tom for doing this and good luck to the new Commander and the new people in the City.
Someone must be doing something right. A neighbor walked by a few minutes ago and commented how empty the streets were of vagrant types around the tennis courts, Oak & Gifford Lane.
Clean up the West Grove and business will come back throughout the entire community.

Good start by out new Top Cop. Hopefully we'll truly see more Grove Village polimen on foot, horse or bike. "The Grove Beat Police". Much more effective as a crime deterrent that too many officers on cars, doing who knows what who knows where. CI
I have seen many officers recently great job!!
Take a few minutes, walk or drive slowly down Grand to Douglas and back to Center Grove; sure they had their problems same as a lot of communities, but the elders and the community and yes, the police worked together and it's ready to move ahead on the same par with Center Grove, S. Miami, Brickell and others. However, no matter what community your in I do things times have changed everywhere, planet earth and people better come up with some new business plans/models or else.
What's for rent Jobie? Have you had enough of the Grove.
