Cabana One rechristened as Rooftop Six
Tonight, December 18, is the "Rooftop Six" birthday celebration for Ricky Tamayo. It's an invite only party, but it's great to see that the place will be hopping again. Rooftop Six is the name for tonight's pool/bar theme party atop the Mayfair Hotel (3000 Florida Avenue).
There are eight cabanas with their own plasma tv's and Nintendo Wii and bottle service.
It's "Very modern and chic, the cabanas are all white, the pool is gorgeously lit, which adds to the crisp vibe this place has to offer. With an have an amazing fire place at the end that is just splendid for the Miami Winter Nights."

It sounds like a great place but unfortunately they have some real buttholes in that neck of the woods.
Maybe after these nice people get chased out of town someone can put a reading room or possibly a meditation center in it's place.
Make it a zen garden with poolside massage and I'm in!
This is great that they are reopening. I just had someone ask if the rooftop at Mayfair would ever open again. He had an interesting suggestion I thought was a really good one. If there are problems with neighbors being bothered by the noise, why don't they sell themselves as a daytime and early evening place, and close at 11? Make it a draw for people to start there and move on at some point. Maybe not the late night profit scene but it would be a nice medium and marketed right could be pretty successful. Beats being closed down.
Actually the rooftop at Mayfair has never closed, but it looks like the parties are starting again, which will hopefully add a little liveliness to the winter season.
I think the rain ruined this party. :(
Miami Dade noise ordinance states no outdoor speakers after 7 pm. Cabanna one was using Mayfairs liquor license. If Roof Top is to be success, they should make sure they follow the laws of Miami Dade. Unlike the previous club. And most important for rooftop clubs....... prey for no rain or it is over.
Is the pool going to be open to the public again or What!?!
I really hope they have new employees/ management. I went to Cabana One once and vowed never to go again. They were unbelievably rude to us.
