Another proof of Miami being run by detached, arrogant banana republic Generalissimos. Oh well, at least he is not in handcuffs, yet.

If you want to start your day with a huge laugh, wait for the Sarnoff video to run out, then go below it to the second video which is of Gonzalez. Guess someone took him up on his suggestion they go to the state attorney's office if they thought he was a crook. That comes under the heading of "Be careful of what you ask for".
Good riddance to that lying thief.

To anyone one who is surprised by Sarnoff's arrogance and refusal to compromise: welcome to the party, we've been waiting.

I say that we get the recall process started. A recall is available to remove a commissioner at any time. I mean, we've got to have a special election ASAP anyway, so let's put the recall on it. We just need to start a petition, the rules are the same as for getting a candidate on a ballot.

Who's in?

"Well... I don't want to seem inflexable"
This man is a disgrace!
Mark you are not the only voice that matters. You put yourself out there as a populist but as soon as an issue pops up that conflicts with your own personal interests you act like a petulant child.

You have stated many times in the past several months that you'll be running the show around here for another 7 years.
Dont count your pollos!

Mark got elected with about 4,000
votes. In the big picture that's equivalent to winning class president. He can and will be defeated next time around.
We are just going to have to stay on his butt for the next 716 days, 2 hours and 33 seconds.
The tide has turned Mr. Sarnoff.

This just goes to prove that Spence-Jones has more class in her little finger than Sarnoff has in his whole body.

I would take the word of; Angel Gonzales, Michelle Spence Jones, Raul Martinez, Robert Warshaw, the dearly departed Art Teele, Crazy Joe Carollo, the Washington sniper, or John lovetts from SNL before I would believe a word out of this pathological liars mouth.
The guy lied about his biological grandfather for 20+ years for Christ sake!

I am a recognized figure in this community. I am so disheartened with Commissioner Sarnoff. He is not a man of his word and, after supporting him for years, I will do all possible to aid in a recall.

Here we go again (todays Herald) in Sarnoff's district. This is not a grove issue but his sanctioning of harrassing Jimbo's into closing is yet another indication that it's his vision he wants, not that of people who like the "authentic" Miami. Jesus, don't they anything nbetter to do at city hall than harrass Jimbo's and the Village Council?

Don't dispair. Coconut Grove is becoming the "new" Jimbos.

The man clearly did whatever he could to make the Marlins Stadium a reality. All those that think Sarnoff voted against the deal are just plain wrong, and I will tell you why (as I am sure you can use this against him in a recall petition). There were two items brought before the Commission on that fateful day: (1) a vote on the Stadium deal, and (2) a vote on the no-bid to Hunt/Moss to actually build the thing. Everyone was focused on the first vote, but, what few people understood was that the second vote was just as important. Because of state law, and City Code, the no-bid had to be approved by 4 out of 5 Commissioners. Without the no-bid, the Stadium deal would have died, and Sarnoff knew it very well. Never let him tell you he voted against the Stadium. Now you know better. Just tell him: "Commissioner, you knew very well that the Stadium would never had happened without the no-bid passing, and you voted for the no-bid, knowing this fact. Therefore, you voted for the Stadium, and I will not allow you to backtrack from that simple truth!!"

Nothing with this commissioner is as it seems. He has a full time (city employed) media/communications person i.e., spindoctor on his staff to make sure the public always gets his version of things put out there. All anyone has to do is peel back just one or two layers of the onion and you'll see and smell what this Commissioner is all about. I'm a city employee and can't wait for him to finally get exposed.
