Touring The Kampong
State Representative Carlos Lopez-Cantera, a Grove resident, recently toured The Kampong (4013 S. Douglas Road). He calls it the "jewel of the Grove."
The Kampong is contains a "fascinating array of tropical fruit cultivars and flowering trees."
The Kampong is open from 10 am to 2 pm, Tuesday through Thursday, guided tours are available. Admission is $15.00 per person. For info, please call 305-442-7169.

The gentleman in the picture with Rep. Lopez-Cantera is David Jones, and incredibly talented botanist I had the pleasure of working with at FIU.

Honestly, can go during that time? Excpet for elected officals, I guess.
leave CLC alone, at least he takes the time to tour the district and the Grove
I know David Jones as well. He is a great guy, knows his plants and is the perfect person to represent the Kampong. His tours are fascinating. I never knew plants were so interesting. He takes a genuine interest in his work. Thanks David!!!!
