Free Thanksgiving dinner to be served

Area churches are hosting a free community Thanksgiving dinner in the Great Hall of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church (2750 McFarlane Road). The meal is open to all on Thanksgiving Day, November 26. About 100 church volunteers will prepare a delicious meal for an expected 300 guests.

The tradition was started 26 years ago by St. Stephen’s pastor at the time, Father Hingston, and Deacon Andy Taylor. A true community event, the Thanksgiving meal has been jointly organized with Christ Church in Coconut Grove for many years. Other participating area churches and groups have included St. Philips, Trinity Cathedral, and University of Miami students.

There is convenient free parking in the church parking lot. The meal is free and open to the public.
