Collecting for Thanksgiving meals
We are collecting money for Thanksgiving meals. The money raised will go to St. Hugh's Outreach Program. The Outreach Program will distribute the Thanksgiving meals to needy families.
We have received many generous contributions, already and would love a few more. You may contribute here.
If you would prefer to actually give the items, the NET office is also collecting to put together baskets for Thanksgiving. They have already identified the families who will receive the items, which they are limiting to 50.
They have the turkeys and other items but need more items to fill up the baskets like mashed potatoes, canned gravy, fresh corn, rice, corn bread, mac and cheese, black beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing and whatever else you think might complete the meal.
They will be receiving donations at the NET office (2820 McFarlane Road) from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday until November 18, 2009.
