Will Paragon have the same draw as Muvico?
According to an article in today's Herald, the three execs of Muvico, including chief exec and prez, Michael Whalen, are leaving Muvico and opening thier own premier movie theater chain, calling the new company, Paragon Entertainment.
The empty spaces at CocoWalk have been filling in lately, because Muvico has been drawing in restaurants and stores who want to be part of that experience. Will this continue now that it is Paragon?

New Muvico coming signs on the theatre just went up today. Wow it seems to change by the hour. One or the other, lets just keep the wheels of a new movie theater in action.
Gosh, I don't know what could have gone wrong. A concept to charge people double the going rate for a movie in exchange for VIP service in the middle of the biggest recession since 1938? Whocuddaknowd?
Anon, you're an idiot. The theatre is still happening, people will pay more for a nicer experience, and no this recession is not as crazy as the media have convinced you it is.
Personally, I will be so glad to see a movie for $10 or $12 bucks, where my seat is confortable, teh place is clean and kids are not allowed in for that showing. Sounds great.
To the grape, no it doesn't matter which, because the concept will be the same, and the experience will be the same. No one is that concerned with name-branding in movie theatres.
YI agree with that guy. The charge is not double but is slightly more expensive than a standard ticket. I usually go to CineBistro at Dolphin mall and well worth the cost. WV
