Volunteers are needed to clean-up Barnacle
The Barnacle (3485 Main Highway) is looking for volunteers for their clean-up "Make A Difference Day" tomorrow, October 24. The clean-up is from 9 am to noon.
Invasive plants need to be removed and the park needs to be cleaned up in general with litter removal that washes ashore and catches in the mangrove roots. Participants are encouraged to pack a picnic and take in the serenity of the park after a hard day's work.

I've been to this several times! It's outside so it can get kind of hot, but the work isn't that tought and everyone is friendly. It's a great chance to meet new people.
