Grove welcomes Peter Max Gallery in style
McFarlane Road turned into a grand art opening last night for the grand opening of the Peter Max Gallery. Search lights, food, music and even a painted Rolls Royce were part of the scene. The Rolls was painted by Marcie Ziv, shown above, with gallery owner Les Roberts.
The Peter Max Gallery is open daily at 2996 McFarlane Road, right next to the Romero Britto Gallery.

Hope this is the beginning of many more Art Gallerys. Very exciting news for the Grove. Everyone Loves it!!
There is hope for the Grove. I just happened to be in Cocowalk looking for something to do on Saturday Night, when I looked across the street, I saw floodlights, and a lot of activity at what I thought was the Brito Art Gallery. Being the curious individual that I am, I decided to venture to 2996 Mc Farlane Road; to my surprise it wasn't the Brito Gallery attracting all of the attention but a new Peter Max Gallery. Although I am not an Art person, I ventured inside and met Les Roberts the owner of the Brito and Peter Max Galleries, what a nice down to earth individual; he made me feel like we have been friends for years; the Sushi and the wine weren't bad either.
We need more mover and shakers like Mr. Roberts if there is any chance for the Grove to survive.
As a sidebar, did anyone notice the beautiful tree lights on Main Highway (South Side), WOW.

Nice to see the Grove getting back to it's art roots... So much beauty and energy.
