Come party at The Ivy at the Grove

The new Ivy at the Grove (in the former Christabelle's location at 3159 Commodore Plaza) is taking shape.

They have their Halloween party planned for October 31, as you know, just email
halloween@theivyatthegrove.com for a free ticket (you must mention the Grapevine for this).

Then on Friday, November 6, there is a networker for locals from 7 pm to midnight. All area professionals are invited to network and get a sneak peak at the new restaurant before it opens to the public. The first 150 to RSVP to
professionalnetwork@theivyatthegrove.com will receive an invitation. Be sure to mention the Grapevine for these tickets, too.

Then on November 7, comes The Black Ball, which is an invitation-only event. One way to get on this list may be to attend the other two events. This event is the exclusive first look at the future sight of The Ivy At The Grove and Raffles Private Membership Club.

The Ivy was kind enough to also donate two tickets for entry into The Black Ball for the silent auction for the Chamber's Casino Night on October 24.

And there is talk about Princes William and Harry flying in for New Year's eve. They are frequent guests at The Ivy in London.

Maybe they can come in a few days earlier and be joint grand marshals of the Mango Strut.

No way! There can be only ONE royal entity at the Strut - King Mango!!!!

Nice to see the Ivy's trying to be a good community player already.

I still think that building would have made for a great strip club though.

strip club sounds dirty... but I thought I was the only one thinking it would make a great "Moulin Rouge" style cabaret... good to know there are fine minds like mine out there...

The last person I know suggesting to me a strip club on Commodore Plaza turned out to have a brain tumor, I am not discounting the idea, it is just that perhaps the idea is far too advanced for current human capacity, or perhaps a hemp facility.

too advanced? Quite the opposite, in my opinion. very crude and distasteful. I am relieved the decision was not up to you!

that place always struck me as what a high end brothel in new orleans should look like (based on pure imagination and movies).
