Carrie and Kendrick Meek visit Shake-a-Leg
Last week, former US Congresswoman Carrie Meek and her son Kendrick; a current member of the US Congress from Florida's District 17, visited Shake-A-Leg Miami (SALM).Both Meeks are valued friends of SALM; with the congresswoman being one of the leading proponents of SALM's creation back in the early '90s, and Kendrick has sent his children Lauren and Kendrick Jr. to the summer camps.
All three generations had the opportunity to visit the Eco-Islands, sail, kayak, and enjoy the beautiful waters of their beloved Biscayne Bay.

And today (Sunday) is a fundraiser for Shake-A-Leg Miami at Crazy Pianos...20% of the sales go to SALM.
This is a worthy organization and should be supported. And over the years Biscayne Bay, thanks to both government and private interest is making a grand comeback. There are snapper, grouper and lobster throughout the bay----twenty years ago the best you could expect was an ear infection.
And don't forget Congressman Kendrick meek is currently running for FL. Senate!
