We need more orange salmon
We would love if someone could duplicate their recipes. Maybe someone from Basil can get together with another restaurant and pass along their great orange salmon recipe and the talapia in the bag and the salad and of course the cheese bread.

Grape,
I saw a new brazilian place on urbandaddy http://bit.ly/19nwPr that is opening up near the american airlines arena. i bet they have cheese bread (pao de queijo right?)
but i agree, i miss the picanha steak, and their salad dressing.
they should've sold the salad dressing at fresh market. or the farmers market too.
The cheesebread was frozen and came in by the caseload. The salad dressing was half olive oil and half soy sauce. Those are the easy things. But putting it all together as a meal is what some restaurant should do.
You can buy the cheese bread, which comes from on SW 27th Avenue, near the corner of SW 21st Street. It's a small store that sells many Brazilian items. You can also pick up picanha there.
Why would Basil get together with another restaurant that you won't support...Why do you Grove people always miss restaurants after they close...Do you think they close because they made to much money....SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RESTAURANTS
Anonymous 1:26 pm, you must be new here. We all supported Basil and I wrote about them almost daily. We loved Basil, they closed because of other reasons, nothing having to do with our supporting them. We did support them and many of us ate there a few times a week, that is why we miss them now.
Anonymous 1:26....you're a fool. Do you ever read here? Us Grove people support everything local and good..... So get off your high horse and read a few more weeks before you go spouting off about things you know absolutely nothing about.
I miss the ginger tilapia, with or without the roaches! :(
@anonymous 11:40, I had no idea you could buy that stuff so close. that's awesome.
going to have to investigate.
