Meet the Gentlemen Jack Girls at Sandbar

The Gentleman Jack bus will be at Sandbar Grill (3064 Grand Avenue) tomorrow night, August 19, from 10 pm to 12:30 am.

Along with the bus will be the Gentleman Jack Girls.

Gentleman Jack is the new bourbon whiskey by Jack Daniels. “Creating a perfect cocktail is as much an art as creating a premium whiskey like Gentleman Jack,” said Mark Grindstaff, Jack Daniel’s Marketing Director. “The twice-mellowed, smooth flavor of Gentleman Jack lends itself to the harmony found in a well-blended cocktail, and this is a chance for our country’s best bartenders to prove they know just what that drink should taste like.”

So stop by the Sandbar for a taste and if you don't like that, it's Penny Beer Night and Hurricane drinks are half price all day and night.

remember the key on penny beer night, bring coins.

beers are $1/3 beers
OR 1 per coin (any coin).

get there early, before 10pm when the penny beers start, grab a table, and then order as many as you can before their kegs run out.

also save me a few :-)

Just to set things straight...Gentleman Jack isn't bourbon, it's Tennessee sippin' whiskey. Bourbon is made in Kentucky.

THANK YOU 86 Proof!

Gentleman Jack is not bourbon, not even close. It is Tennessee Whiskey which doesnt compare to Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Its an ugly stepchild for the masses at best. Creating a perfect cocktail? Doesnt include Jack...sorry.

As a Kentucky girl, I don't want to put a damper on the event. While Gentleman Jack may be "smooth", it's not bourbon. Kentucky bourbon is mellow and smooth...

Blind Mind,
Tennessee sippin' whiskey should never be watered down in one of those fancy pants "cocktails", although one can understand how that might improve bourbon.

86 proof - sorry, you couldnt be more incorrect. Bourbon is best enjoyed neat or on a few rocks. A drink like a manhattan or sidecar or a julep is acceptable and plays nicely off the flavor notes of bourbon as long as a lower tiered bourbon is used, like a Maker's Mark which is still better than any Jack product. Gentleman Jack, Jack Daniels, and the other Tennessee Whiskey and non-Kentucky brands are far inferior in nose and flavor and often incorrectly referred to as the bourbon they aspire to be.

We all have different tastes. Enjoy your Jack.
