Grove artists turn out for breakfast
A slew, (gaggle? pride?) of Grove artists came out this morning for Breakfast with the Artist with Monique Lassooij as the featured artist. Her "Fresh from the Fridge" series is on display (and for sale). Some of the stuff looks so good, you can just pick it and eat it right off the wall.
Just to name a few, there is Jerry Wade, Leonard King, Linda Apriletti, Audrey Scott, Karen Deilke and Valentina Ramos, who was featured last month in the breakfast series.
A large group of friends showed up to honor Monique (left); at right are Liz Gibson and Uta.
Speaking of art, get a load of Audrey. A pure work of art -- Audrey and the shades.

Thanks Grape, sorry you couldn't stay we ended up with 28 and would you believe they ran out of those cups for coffee.
I'm not surprised, this restaurant is notorious for always running out of something. By the way, I much rather prefer the color they had before on the walls, this new color looks sad and ugly.
I agree this color is not very becoming. I'm always conscious of colors. It is common knowledge that red increasers the appetite.
So much for that, then, I also have an opinion about the sign on U.S. 1 which neither an 82 year old or a 9 year old can read. and the Grape has not tackled that. What's up with that?
