The first and last time I went to Cita with 3 friends dinner ended costing $100 per person. The food was average, the quantity a little stingy, and we sat at uncomfortable chairs in the back patio. Not worth the high price. With so many other good restaurants in the Grove I hope the restaurant sticks to lower menu prices, doesn't hold back on the pasta, and shows restraint with the $ of its commmon California wines.

Citas is easily one of the best restaurants we have here in the grove. I've dined there on numerous occassions and hosted a private brunch and dinner there.

The menu is pricey compared to other local restaurants but that is because you are getting a higher quality meal. Its nice to have something better than bar food around. Compared to other steak houses and fine dining restarants the prices are comparable. Those looking for a bowl of spaghetti should stay away. Its an italian chop house. Opt for the steaks and chops. The seafood is also delicious.

I also have never had a service problem.

All this from someone who has grown up in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Citas is a gem in the Grove. I urge you to try it again.

You guys are tough. Took the family there for a nice dinner about a month ago. It was expensive, but the service was decent and the food was good. Sat in the the back patio area. Hotter than hell, but still had a great time. We'll be back.

Also I was there for the Grand Opening. Service was really Great. Food was expensive, but if you order right it wont be so off the scale. Been back three other times and most of the hot wait staff has hit the road. Service was just ok, & with the new restaurants opening up with pasta dinners starting at only $9.95 that is where we now love to go. IN this market, price is so important followed up by wonderful service. Easy as pie.

there is a reason why CITA is constantly empty when other restaurants around are buzzing with patrons,
the new menu has lesser prices but also less food on the plate, how that makes the difference?, 6 oz steak, get real!!! I mean someone should talk to the owner who is by the way great great guy.
Service is OK, nothing out of this world. I think they are struggling BIG time, maybe even sort of "rigor mortis" signs.
Cuban place they also own has actually good food, great sandwiches but terrible skinny Uruguayan waitress that cant make "colada" if her life would depend on it.
So I guess we have to keep looking for better places in Grove to eat.
