What'll ya have?
The Taurus (3540 Main Highway) is ready for their grand opening on July 4. I went by today to check it out. This is the new bar and below you see the nice comfortable seating area with a fire place. Salvatore Catania does things first class, he has shown that with Calamari, now you'll see it at 6 pm on Saturday, when the The Taurus opens to the public.
As you remember, we brought the news to you first last month and today, all the media were out to get their fix. Look for lots of Taurus stories in the Herald, Thrill List, Urban Daddy, Yelp, etc. The ribbon cutting is at 6 pm on the 4th of July, not at 4 pm as some have published.

You might love Calamari, but for me the service is bad and when you wright to the management about the service they do not care to even give a reply. This place can go away.
Do you think The Taurus was successful because of it's "First Class" decor?
I'm so glad they are opening up again! Now all you old people can have a place to call your own again!
I thought this place was going to be more laid back? I don't see this as first class decor, at least I hope not, that's what Calamrai's for I guess.
In defense of Calamari. It has become my new favorite restaurant. Excellent food, fair prices, free valet parking. And wonderful, friendly service.
Taurus will make a perfect re-addition!
No idea why some people are busting on Calamari's. It's good inventive italian - cheap. Something you don't see much of in the grove. I also really appreciate the free valet parking. Makes it convenient, since there aren't many spaces right there.
Looking forward to trying this out as well. I wasn't around for the first incarnation, but I'm glad to be here for the return. I just hope this burger lives up to the hype that friends originally from here rave about.
Calamari has good food, reasonable prices and they try very hard. If you have a complaint let the mgr know; he is anxious to please. The Taurus bar needs to be casual - we would be happy with card tables and picnic benches; we don't want fancy leather furniture and French provincial chairs. Make it casual please.
Yeah get rid of those chairs, we want bar stools, wooden benches, canvas chairs, we will even take Kmart resin chairs, I agree make it casual. My grandmother used to have those curly-q chairs - take them to that fortune telling place next to Greenst if that's what thay wierd place is.
