Save the Date for the big Debate

Mayoral Candidates, City Commissioner Joe Sanchez (District 3) and City Commissioner Tomás Regalado (District 4), will square off in a 2-1/2 hour debate over issues concerning the Coconut Grove community on Wednesday, September 16, 2009.

The debate is being sponsored by the Coconut Grove Park Homeowners Association, the Village of Center Grove, and Miami Neighborhood United.


Hosted by a professional moderator, the debate will be held at the Miami Science Museum (3280 South Miami Avenue) at 7 pm.

Audience members will get an opportunity to present written questions, the candidates will be able to address each other, and a lively discussion is expected. The election is November 3, 2009.

Grape: This says audience members will get an opportunity to present written questions. Why don't you start a list from Grove readers of questions they would like asked of the candidates and then you can provide them to the three candidates and they can answer or not, but at least we will know, as a group, which questions would not be answered and candidates failed to answer.

What do you think?

Why would you give the candidates an opportunity to give you canned answers or read from their notes?

Absolutely disgusting...Now I now why my grease trap permit fee went up %200+. These ###holes think they can pay out these crazy pensions and all they have to do is make the hard working merchants & taxpayers foot the bill. Why the F### did I go to college when I could be making 300K as a fireman???
