Relay for Life seeking committee volunteers

The American Cancer Society is calling for people to be part of the 2010 Relay for Life Planning Committee. Be part this great team. You may remember they had a successful event in Peacock Park just this past May, and this committee will be planning next year's event.

Relay for Life is an overnight event geared towards communities to get together and take a stand against cancer by celebrating life, remembering those who have lost their battle, and fighting back by raising donor dollars that go towards research, education, advocacy and patient services.

Dedicated volunteers are needed who would be willing to plan this party for survivors and get the community further involved. If you are interested in participating please contact Erika Krystle Gaeta - ACS Community Representative at erika.gaeta@cancer.org or 305.779.2849.

This is a great way to make a meaningful contribution. For some inspiration and perspective on what makes Relay for Life such a great event, I invite you to check out this short video -- ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/1848 -- about one woman's "aha moment" when she realized the impact of participating in Relay for Life. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks,
