Live music Happy Hour on Thursdays at Cabana One

Cabana One (atop the Mayfair Hotel) has a Poolside Summer Rescue R&R for service industry workers and their friends. The pool/lounge is open to the public daily from 10 am to 8 pm. And on Sundays, for service industry folks, there's food and drink specials.

There are pool games and a lunch menu. Daily Happy Hour drink specials include $2.00 drinks Monday thru Friday from 5 to 8 pm.

Thursday night is Miami's only after work pool party. There will be a "guest bartender" on Thursdays including an Acoustic Open Jam from 6 pm to midnight. $3 shorties for the industry, $75 Finlandia Bottles.

Sounds like a great place for the community to have lunch and a day at the pool. Bring the kids and family.

What a sad idea! Who wants to go and have drinks with busers and dishwashers...especially after they get off work? What a pitty!!! The Mayfair Hotel who brings in the finest people from all around the world, is becoming destroyed by Cabana One.

The Mayfair doesnot own Cabana One Club. Also the Mayfair is a has been hotel here in the Grove. The shopping mall & Movie theatre are history. The rooms are small and smell from mold. Sorry check out hotel reviews on line Tripadvisor.com

A clarification to Sailfast:

The Mayfair Hotel and Spa is a totally separate entity and has nothing to do with "Streets of Mayfair" which is the entity you describe as a shopping mall and movie theatre.

The hotel completed grand scale renovations in February of 2009. It is part of the exclusive Obadon Hotel Group which also owns the Brazilian Court in Palm Beach. I checked out Trip Advisor to see the entry to which you referred and did not come across it. However these were the top 3 entries as of this morning:

... I would highly recommend this hotel over and over again. They have wonderful packages for couples. Also they have the Cabana One club/bar on the rooftop now which is totally cool

I love this hotel.. The surroundings are beautiful, the staff is excellent. The Valet and Bellman had great knowledge and ideas for what to do in the city. The room is beautiful ...

As for the Streets of Mayfair, it has morphed into a mixed-use office and retail with such big-deal tenants as Sony Music, Crispin & Porter, Leo A Daly and the Arts Festival. It also houses a number of retailers such as Bookstore in the Grove, Windisch Hunt Gallery, Center for Beautiful Skin, Ann Taylor Loft, Bath & Body WorksOut of Africa, Hibiscus Hill, Palm Produce, Ling Chow Salon, the latter 5 have been there for over 10 years. Now they have the Antiques Marketplace - the same one that has served Lincoln road, here opening nearly every weekend.

Sorry this is long but I feel it is necessary to correct wrong impressions of Grove businesses.
