Concert to commemorate 40 year anniversary of Woodstock
The concert starts at 5 pm and includes two local acts and a series of assembled School of Rock Music student bands, which will pay homage to Woodstock by recreating songs performed from the original 1969 concert.
Food and drink vendors will also be on site. They are encouraging everyone to bring the family and a blanket.
The organizers of event are hoping to recapture the spirit of an era that symbolized freedom, culture and unity. And now, thanks in part with the Grove’s involvement, they can pass the legacy of Woodstock to a new generation of young musicians who are embracing the ideals and principles of the magic of Woodstock.

Allright!! I wish there were concerts there just about every weekend, improvised bands, trios or whatever, doesn't have to be a huge event, a couple of decent speakers, some good blues, jazz, rock, whatever.. free admission, based on contributions, selling Cd's promoting the bands.. CI
Well I hope they kick off with "It's been a loooong time coming..."
are we allowed in the park earlier ???
