Where can you get a decent cup of coffee?

Best American coffee in the Grove?

I say McDonald's or the Bookstore.

The rest of the places seem to serve watered down or overly strong coffee, Starbucks' American coffee tastes burnt.

For other types like lattes and cafe con leche, there are many places, but the best American coffee seems to be those two places. Any others?

I loved this cup I had in Focaccia -- an espresso. It was so good, I took this photo.

Actually Olva's coffee, American Coffee, is too black. I threw it out last week when I got breakfast and went to McDonald's. His Latte's are perfect, though.

Olavs latte is pretty damn good I'll admit.
The problem with the Bookstore's cuban coffee/cortadito's it really depends who makes it.

Wish they had an Einstien's in the Grove..love their coffee. I really enjoy Starbuck's lattes but can not drink their American coffee. Will have to try Chicago Bakery's coffee as they are right across the street.

Grape, it all depends on what you like. If I'm going to drink coffee (I usually drink green tea now) I want it strong!

Havana in the Grove is my favorite neighborhood spot for breakfast, mostly because they brew a nice rich (not strong) American coffee.

Great prices, good fast service.

I just had a cafe con leche at the new Chicago's Bakery and Deli on Commodore Plaza- it was great. Highly recommend it along with their signature desserts..

Funny Funny funny did anyone notice the lipstick on the cup? Grape you could have mentioned the painting based on this cupa java.

The best coffee is the Organic Coffee at the Bookstore in the Grove, when they don't run out.

That isn't lipstick, the coffee was so black, that is the remnant from my lip.
