Volunteers needed for tree planting project
On Saturday, June 6, the City of Miami, TreeMendous Miami and the Tropical Flowering Tree Society will collaborate and plant trees -- native and flowering trees -- along the Metrorail right of way near 27th Avenue.Volunteers are meeting at 8:30 am in the parking lot of the Metrorail station immediately behind US1 and 2th Avenue, you are invited to participate. Just show up!
Wear sun protection and hard soled shoes. If you have them, please bring a shovel and rake and any work tools. The job should last until noon.
