Spin it as a Groovey Grove Weekend
We are talking about getting people here for July 4th weekend, but what about every weekend?
A great idea might be to put a flyer together with some Coconut Grove hotel weekend specials and add a couple of menus in the mix for our one-of-a-kind places like Greenstreets and Citas and Calamari. Also throw in some sailing options and prices.
Lure people with the quiet weekend prospect to shop, dine, sail and unwind. Hand these out in South Beach, Hollywood, Kendall and the outlying areas. Remind them of what the Grove has to offer.
We don't even have to leave the village to promote it in some instances. To get the people from Pinecrest and Cutler Bay, and South Miami, put a few hot girls on rollerblades and have them hand out the flyers to drivers stopped at the traffic light at Main and McFarlane. Lots of people pass through the Grove during rush hour -- a captive audience.

Isn't that the job of the BID who have the enormous amount of $1,400.00 to do just that.
If going the rollergirl route, please keep it somewhat classy and not all the girly treats spilling or splitting out of their clothes... There's enough of that in Miami.
How about a hot buff guy with abs for days? The Grove Cougars will like that better!
