guess they haven't been to cita's, they have their work cut out for them.
reading this mornings paper in Neighbors in the neighbors happening. I noted that the 11 leprechauns are having an open mike event this Sunday ?
If you want to read up-to-date news, please read the Grapevine, not the daily newspaper.
Let's see how long before they close.
Another Steak House...How boring!
Man alive, who owns that place? A steakhouse? What are they thinking? That's almost as bad a tacky Irish bar.
Ah yes, a location with a long history of short-term businesses:
Don Quixote's
The Firken & Friar Pub
Waldo's Sports Bar
Eleven Leprechauns
and now Chicago's.
Good Lord! What next? Do they know ANYTHING about marketing?
Anyone ever think that these "businesses" are front's?? It sure is strange how so many places come and go ...
Sadly, this location has had so many businesses that flop, that I feel no one will ever survive there. It's like everything else, whenever this happens to any location, people just don't even bother anymore. They should keep it closed for a year, have a complete makeover, and try again next year. I just don't see this location having success for a long time. IMHO.
They have no ideas how the business they are getting into works and the result is clear. It is like a dentist who insist on doing eye surgery, he will just yank the eyes out and fill it up. I say open a small virtual reality/gaming cafe there, attract some younger crowds.
Next up on "Failed Restaurants in a Gimmicky Building" - Chicago's!!!
Did 11 Leprechauns even last 3 months?
With such great local support from all you that have trashed the efforts of this owner...its no wonder so many of your restaurants fail...
Give the man a chance...Do any of you so-called experts know how difficult it is to survive in the restaurant business...
Why don't these people ever talk to people on the street and Grove residents and ask them the kind of place they would frequent. Why would you immediately compete with a steak house next door. C'mon. They seem to think that residents don't know what they are talking about. We know where we want to go and what we need. Who are the people who are restaurant locators who do the surveys - who do they talk to anyway?
How about a 5 Guys Burgers & Fries or IN N OUT BURGER> How we are talking a success!
I heard the restaurant has closed due to the lack of marketing expertise from a company that has been working with them since their opening... I hope that same company is not in charge of the new restaurant otherwise we will see history repeat itself.
