Mind Freeing Fridays with Poetry Night at Anokha
"Mind Freeing Fridays," an escape into poetry, is coming to Anokha (3324 Virginia Street) every Friday night, starting May 1.Happy hour and poetry combine starting at 8 pm, where the doors open to luscious food, drink and prose. Admission is $7, there are $5 drink specials all night, along with Anokha's delicious dishes.
The South Dade Connection is a poetry troupe comprised of individuals that vary in age, background, and gender. They have been together since 2005. Motivational speakers as well, they strive to teach the youth that there are alternatives in regards to self expression.
