With the economy on the downturn we need more cops.

Last weekend my neighbor and I both had our car window's broken and things stolen out of our cars parked on day ave. (closer to 27th though) Clearly it's no where near as devastating as an abduction/car jacking, but it's still a crime. Maybe there should be more police patrolling...

This story seems a little bit weird. She was sleeping in the back seat? Her boyfriend just happened to stop to go to the bathroom exactly where a masked guy was waiting. I'll bet more comes out regarding this story.

I agree this story is very strange. Why stop in a residential neighborhood to "use the bathroom" when there isn't one? At 6 am it is dark. In a few blocks he could have found relief at a gas station or fast food restaurant. I look forward to the end too.

sadly, maybe the guy did something to his girlfriend, ditched the car, and said he was carjacked. All I know is the story stinks. He randonly stop to use the restroom? Where? I wouldn't let some random guy use mine. sound like something you would see on forensic files.

The guy said he stopped to relieve himself on the side of the road, he wasn't knocking on random doors to use their bathroom.

you stop on a residential street to take a leak? Thats equally as fishy.

Getting out of the car in a residential area to relieve oneself, I can understand even though I don't like it. But what about the girlfriend?! The thieves take off with her in the car, and the article ends by asking the reader to contact police if they know anything about the car?!
What about the abducted person!
Brilliant reporting job!

If this guy was taking a piss, I'm the pope!

no less than 4 gas stations/ convenience stores within 1/4 mile of there, and he stops along that section of street - you've got to be kidding.

The block of Carter and Day is a notorious drug stop for out of area people. Last summer, there were multiple busts in that area. It wouldn't surprise me if they were in that area at 6am looking for trouble and then got it.
