The Cherry on Top is taking form
They will offer cheese, charcuterie, seafood and chocolates from all over the world paired with an extensive "off the beaten track" wine list.
They also will have a gourmet retail store with indoor and outdoor seating and all items on the menu are available for sale in the store called Le Petit Gourmand. So now on Main Highway we have Le P'tit Paris on Main and Commodore and Le Petit Gourmand on Main near McFarlane. Makes you wanna go hmmm.
They have their tentative menu posted right on the storefront, so pass by and check it out when you can. They are hoping for a May 1 opening date, but from what I could see inside, a lot of work needs to be done, and you know our code enforcement department, they could hold them up for months, let's hope for a speedy opening.

Yes, I am limited in my culinary knowledge therefore I do not know what "charcuterie" means.
I've heard of it because there was once a Miami restaurant with that name.
Can't wait to actually try it.
charcuterie is cold cut 9 ham, salami, pate etc etc0 .
As usually you dying to try as usually you'll dying to kill it...as all grovites ....
Charcuterie (from Wikipedia): Charcuterie (IPA: /ʃɑrˌkutəˈri, ʃɑrˈkutəri/, IPA-fr: /ʃaʁkytəˈʁi/), derived from the French words for flesh (chair) and cooked (cuit), or in Italian Salumi (sing: salume), is the branch of cooking devoted to prepared meat products such as bacon, ham, sausage, terrines, galantines, pâtés, and confit, primarily from pork.[1] Charcuterie is part of the garde manger chef's repertoire. Originally intended as a way to preserve meats before the advent of refrigeration, these preparations are prepared today for their flavors that are derived from the preservation processes.[2]
We at The Cherry on Top and Le Petit Gourmand will bring to the Grove top quality cured meats from small artisanal and organic producers all over the world, primarily Italy, Spain, France, and the US.
Bon Apetit!
-Baruch.
It sure would be nice if people checked the other names in the Grove before they named their business. Somehow it just doesn't seem fair. It was like Jacobs in the Grove coming in two doors away from George's in the Grove. I have a feeling there will only be one Calamari.
