Getting the news on them getting the news
Today Arly Alfaro, the reporter from Channel 51 and Gaston, the cameraman were out filming a story on the Shaq 24 Hour Fitness gym on Grand Avenue. It was something to do with discrimination against overweight people. I don't know if that is true or not, the gym had no comment. I guess you'll have to tune in to Channel 51 for the story.

I am happy I did not pay a membership there. It is grimy and disgusting and dark, they really need to renovate and the staff do not know what they are doing and they are not friendly.
These days anyone could be a personal trainer, and I feel that way when I go to this gym, looks like the trainers do more harm than anything. They have a don't care attitude and it shows!
Any recommendations for decent gyms nearby?
I actually like the gym and don't see how you see it as grim and dark when they have huge wall to wall windows surrounding the work out area. Maybe they just need more lighting at night.
it's kind of dingy I hate to touch the machines and the equipment is outdated, but maybe its just me
Sorry, no hablo Espanol. Can't get the news from 51. I wonder if Shaq24 only hire bilinguals. That is discrimination.
i'm really surprised, aren't they the new kid on the blocvk? All those windows whats dingy?no
This story that they're covering is most likely about a DJ on el Zol 95.7 FM. He bought a membership for himself and a friend, and the friend would be his personal trainer in lieu of the free membership. The gym was not happy with that situation since they only want people to work out with their 24 Hour Fitness trainers. The DJ and the staff got into an argument about it and he accused them of treating him unfairly because of his weight and was shouting about being insulted. After the shouting match the police showed up to break up the scene. The DJ, who is apparently known for his antics, is probably behind the news team covering the story to get back at the gym. My wife saw it happen and my co-worker heard the DJ talking about it on his show.
Maybe they are talking about Shaq Being Overweight?
anon. 7:43 v I suggest you look up DINGY in the dictionary, it is a word and was spelled correctly
