Dine among artistic tables; and take one home, too
If you stop by Anokha (3324 Virginia Street), you'll see something really nice -- artistic tables, created by Gifford Lane's own Jobie Steppe.
Jobie tried explaining the tables once, but I wasn't quite sure of the concept, but there they are, all along the plaza at Anokha.
There are small café-style tables and larger dining tables. All to be enjoyed while you dine and all for sale. The small tables start at $150.00 and they work their way up in price from that (the chairs are not for sale).

Nice tables, Jobie!
Nice! Combining two things the grove is and wants to be known for - good cafes and art.
More artists and restaurants should team up in such a way. I always like how tango worked with artists to provide a different atmosphere. Wish it was still here.
