Bingo on a Sunday afternoon
I've been to the one in Key West where all the local characters come out on Sunday afternoons and it's really a fun get together -- drinking and bingo done in a crazy manner.
Local businesses supply the prizes (free drinks here, free dinner there) and it is a really good-spirited community thing.

FOR REAL. Bingo plus drink specials... and an awesome emcee... that's seriously a failproof formula for success. It'd be perfect for somewhere like Sandbar, Moes, the back of Boardwalk Pizza, or the bar/restaurant at the Sonesta.
I hear ya! I won't mention this again, get ready for Tarzan & Jane vs. Slave Traders.
This would be awesome
Anon, what would be awesome? Bingo or Tarzan & Jane vs Slave Traders?
Bingo is changing right before our eyes. The average age of Bingo players has been reduced to about 27 years of age and they want entertainment. Transvestites have become a draw in announcing the numbers . An average draw is of about 200 units/persons. Is the Grove ready for say, about, 5 bingo parlors?
Tarzan & Jane vs. Slave Traders... this is some kind of show or event? Whatever it is, I can't say the name does it any favors.
Hey, maybe now that Elaine and the girls are out of the 7 dwarfs, oop, I mean 11 Leprechauns they could call some bingo. This could be fun... or could it be we boomers are starting to get geezery?
We must be getting geezery, cause I walked past the park on Saturday, and starting thinking I missed the shuffle board courts that were there when I was a kid. The perfect day to sit and chat and maybe move a little. Oh well! Distant memories.....
