New bakery coming to Commodore Plaza

I was having drinks and little nibblies with friends at Eleven Leprechauns over the weekend and they informed me that a new bakery is going in up front, where the little bar is now. I showed the photo at the bottom here.

It's called Sweet Dreams and they plan on opening in a couple of months.

Commodore Plaza really seems to be the place to be. As we were sitting outside having a good time, all hell broke loose across the street at George's in the Grove. It was someone's birthday and the music started blasting, people started singing. It carried up and down the block -- a realy party atmosphere on Commodore Plaza latey.

Uh oh, don't tell that lady trying to keep an empty building around the corner from making noise prospectively in 8 months or so. The grove is supposed to be a quiet tranquil retirement home, isn't it?

Also, since she lives about a mile from there, reading this is the only way she'd know about the noise, so you might want to keep the "party atmosphere" vibe or any mention of boisterousness or fun under wraps.

A bakery, great. We are getting there. Hope they make birthday cakes and that sort of thing so we don't have to go across the highway to Publix. Now we need a shoe repair and we are set to go! We may never have to leave the Grove.

Shoe repair - we had the leathery. Too bad no one ever went, maybe they'd still be in business. I used to go there, and would see people looking in the windows but never inside. Would be nice to still have, and the people there were very cool and very helpful.
