Local author having a book signing on Thursday

Local author and veterinarian, Michael Marmesh, will be signing his book, Top of the Heap, on Thursday, February 26 at The Bookstore (3399 Virginia Street). It starts at 7 pm.

Michael has lived in South Florida since he was 5 years old. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Nancy, and they have three beautiful daughters: Kate, Liz, and Mo.

He was the winner of the Miami Herald contest to write the final chapter of Naked Came the Manatee --a serialized story with authors, including James W. Hall, Les Standiford, Dave Barry, and Elmore Leonard contributing successive chapters. Dr. Marmesh has also written free-lance articles for the Herald.

My daughter has worked as a volunteer at Dr. Marmesh's office off and on for quite a while, now. He's a terrific role model, especially since she wants to be both a veterinarian and a writer.
