Theater without a theater
As soon as a partner is named, they will be required to get some sort of theater going, outside the playhouse, but inside the Grove -- maybe a tent event, street theater, things like that.
Dave Collins, council member and head of the BID asked the playhouse board to reach out to the BID for "right of way" help in getting the outside productions going.

There's a precedent for this: While Kravis Center was still under construction, they hired Florida Stage to do Shakespeare adjacent to the Construction site.
Carn- I mean, Arsht Center - also hired some local theatre groups to do small events around town.
I'd rather hear that they've hired an Artistic Director, or a competent Producing Director.
You know funny thing about the playhouse. It's co-owned by the Miami Parking Authority. The same one where "all the money" goes to the "other" side of town.
