Grove to host 400 competing for US Sailing Team
The 2009 US Sailing Team AlphaGraphics will be selected this week. Their regatta is Sunday, January 25 through Saturday January 31, with races beginning Monday, January 26.
400 sailers from 41 countries will compete for the spot on the 2009 team. 323 boats have registered to date and are ready to set sail on Biscayne Bay. You may see them all around the Grove next week and of course in the bay.

Sailors will qualify through competition in US SAILING’s 2009 Rolex Miami OCR.
Opening ceremonies and a dinner will be at the Coral Reef Yacht Club on Sunday.

Our son is on the US Sailing Team.
He is competing in Laser. If I can help you in any way with reporting,or a ride on the water for photos let me know. These events add a LOT to the Grove economy.
