Gifford Lane Art Stroll is looking for artists
This is one of the all time favorites of Grovites. It's the way the Grove "used to be." It's a day of art, free food, drinks, music and friends all out under the tree canopy up and down little 'ol Gifford Lane. Dave Collins serves up his famous cucumber punch and all is right with the world.
Last year over 70 artists exhibited at the Stroll. This year, the band performing is Outta D Blues. The event is free to everyone, but there is a fee for artists and vendors. It's $35.00 this year, up from $25.00, but all entries received before February 6 will be held at the old rate of $25.00.
Participating artists are asked to donate 10% of their sales to the designated charities. The absolute deadline for entering the show is February 28. Trina and Bill have asked that you mail in the forms and not leave them in their mailboxes. I have the form here if you would like a copy. Just email me.
For more info, please call Trina Collins at 305-445-9698.

Excellent event!
Grapevine, speaking of Gifford Lane, did Jobie Steppe finally get those code issues settled?
I would like to participate, but after hearing the story of the code people storming the food fetival I am a little worried, I was never aware I would need a permit to have a booth at a festival, does anyone know what is actually needed?
I would like to join in, but after hearing the code inforesemnt issues at the taste of the grove I am a little owrried.
I did not think any permit would be required to participate in a festival but now I am not so shure. does anyone know what kind of licence I would need to participate in this?
I don't want to end up paying fines.
The folks who run the Gifford Lane Art Stroll will cover all of the bases to ensure compliance in advance for all the artist. I believe I can encourage FOX news and the Miami Herald to, how to say this, be on call to film code enforcement in their uniforms wearing their badges trying out their tactics on us artist as we go about exercising our first amendment rights under a supreme court decision.
