Come out for the free Shakespeare and antique shows
The antiques and collectibles are all set up and ready for you. The Antique and Collectible Market is at Mayfair today through Sunday. From 11 am until dark. Entry is free. Come out, spend the day, do some shopping, enjoy lunch, don't forget Shakespeare in the Park, also free tonight and all weekend.
Above is jewelry offered by John and Nikki Blacker. If there was a piano present, they would actually put on a little show for you, too. Come out and meet John and Nikki and all the dealers who have come to our Village this weekend.

I looked at every so-called "antiques" vendor's stall today, and felt insulted by what they were showing. Most of it was costume and junk jewelry, with very few items of real interest and value. I was very diasppointed. Is that what the vendors think Coconut Grove deserves, or, perhaps, the organizer of this event? Don't bother bringing it back, unless the quality level is raised by about 500%.
Anon,
I don't know where you were but I saw a ton of great jewelry. Lots of sterling silver, glass (venetian, Czech, Chinese, Indian), gold, precious stones etc. Also amber jade, ivory, bone etc. I really enjoyed myself and spent a good 2 hours there looking. Clearly you have no clue WTF you are talking about.
Whatsmore its FREE to get in. In this economy, what a great way to spend a few hours without having to pay a penny. I highly recommend everyone go check it out. Maybe anon is some bitter retailer who is jealous of any competition.
I saw and bought only quality items today. Top notch.
I admired two vendors the art deco guy who said he came from N.Y. for this specific event
thinking it was the first of the season down here.
Little did he know there was Art Deco weekend.
The other was the inkwells and I know they were dated 18th Century and oh they were fabu.
