Avalon is now open for business
Avalon, the bar, restaurant and lounge is open at 2801 Florida Avenue. Yaki Flores, the manager showed me around. It's a nice, large, multi-level space.
There are four bars and a dinner menu. They are open three nights: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6 pm to 3 am.
