This is our future . . .

after1
This is what the Grove will look like next weekend if Code Enforcement and the Parking Authority are permitted to harass the residents, businesses and visitors. Take note. People aren't stupid, they can easily go a couple of miles to Coral Gables or South Miami to shop, hang out and spend money.

I did see a bunch of Code Enforcement and Parking Authority people out today, and many police cars. They all seemed to be backing off with their aggressiveness. Also, many of the merchants and even one of the Grove's parking attendants, and me, have been telling people to not park in certain areas when they do park in a "no parking" zone. Which is a common thing.

I really think larger signs are needed. You can stand out in one spot on Virginia Street and car after car parks at the "no parking" zones. The driver goes to the meter, gets a ticket and puts the receipt in the windshield. Many of us are trying to catch them before they put the money in the meter.

I know many of you, by your comments, don't really get what we are saying. We are not saying that people should not be ticketed for wrong things. We are saying that a majority of the people who park at these zones are confused with the signs or don't even see the sign. That says something.

Whether this Parking Puzzle is indeed a mess, killing Grove Merchants or just some inconvenience who you gonna Call? Sarnoff Busters!!

This parking confusion wouldn't happen if the grove was it's own City. Not to mention other local Messes.

But on this, I really wouldn't know, I'm
lucky to get by on foot or bike in the Village, haven't parked my car for years, residents could walk more too, when possible. It's good for you, great weather!

The signs appear to be there to confuse and generate money for the city.

weren't you just making fun of the overuse of signage at the post office? now you want bigger signs that say "no parking"...

i guess it all depends on what side of the bed you wake up on...?

The post office signs don't bother me. I was reporting that residents are upset and want to meet with Illeana Ros-Lehtinen about it.

I wasn't complaining about the signs and see it as a non-issue.

It would help that when they change a parking spot to a no parking spot via a sign the city paints over the white marks on the pavement. Just recently I parked in one my regular spots, paid for the parking, put the ticket on my dashboard and when I returned found a parking ticket. Geeze!
