Nice, fresh, green holiday wreaths for $5.00!

Want a nice, green, fresh Christmas wreath for a cheap price, maybe 5 to 10 bucks? Go to The Last Carrot and ask them where to get them. They have one hanging on their front door.

Louis, one of the homeless guys in the area is actually making them. He is taking the thrown away branches from Christmas tree lots, from the parts they cut from the bottoms of the trees and he is making nice holiday wreaths out of them.

They are plain, pine wreaths. You can add ribbon and stuff later, but the wreaths are very well made and healthy. They smell just like Christmas.

Yeah - he was out in front of the UPS store last night about 7 PM. Strange I didn't "get it" that he was selling the wreath in his hand - I saw him giving some other guy a typical panhandler sob story begging for money. I think he'd have a much better chance if he just made a bunch of the wreaths and set up on the sidewalk someplace - like the guy that weaves up the palm fronds into hats & animals & stuff over by where Flavour used to be.
Regardless, kudos to him for trying to earn some $$ legit.

The 80 cent guy can now sell wreaths & maybe make enough money so as he can jump onto a Greyhound bus and finally leave the Grove.

The 80 cents guy hit me up in front of the post office today right after I had bought the wreaths from Louis at The Last Carrot.
