It was an elegant art opening reception enjoyed by all
The Windisch-Hunt Fine Art Gallery hosted a standing room only opening reception during Art Basel/Miami last weekend for Areca Whatmore and Annette Rawlings, two Grove artists, along with gallery artists Jane Harris, Fred Hunt, Yana Bem, Hans Feyerabend, Donald Kesler, Elaine Fasula, Gina Hubler, Karen Deilke, and J Porras.
Over 350 attendees were treated to Bill Hansen's catering. It seemed like a Culver alumni reunion since both Areca and AnnaMaria have ties to the Culver Military Academy in Crown Point Indiana.
Several pieces were purchased during the evening reconfirming that the art curated at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery (2911 Grand Avenue) was on par with the top venues seen throughout Art Basel/Miami.
Today a bunch of Tony Scornavacca paintings arrived (left) and also works by Russian artist Alexander Khomsky from the Bridge Arts Fair. Art is alive and well even in Coconut Grove!
