Eco-friendly Santa to arrive tomorrow afternoon!
It appears that Santa will be going green this year in the Grove. No, his clothing will be the usual red and white, but he will make his entrance at CocoWalk in a lime green electric car! This is the Eco-friendly Santa. Santa had arrived in past years in a big bright red fire truck.
Also, there's a 45 piece marching band from Coral Gables Senior High, ready to greet Santa. And the Meter Fairy will be out and about in a new costume that will remain secret for now.
Santa is scheduled to arrive at 3 pm and the party goes on until 8 pm. That's tomorrow at CocoWalk. There will be face painting, live music, Christmas arts and crafts -- the works. Admission is free.
And don't forget the big box in front of CocoWalk will finally reveal what is inside. I am told it's a huge snake and he is actually in there right now. We'll see! The box was actually moved today because work crews were working on the Crazy Pianos site, but the box should be present tomorrow for the unveiling, or should I say, "letting loose."
