The question is how friendly are they? The owner there was never very friendly. Restaurant owners need to learn to welcome everbody, recognize their regulars, treat everyone special - take lessons from George at George's in the Grove.

It's very expensive - but I think they have the best latte and croissant in town (approx $10 for both).

I love Le Moulin, Philip has been at the location for more than a decade and you just have to start a conversation, I think they want to respect their client's privacy. It has been my favorite breakfast destination since around 1998, his wife was still alive, and his son Max was just a kid. They have the best bacon with breakfast. Max used to jam the guitar with his Jazz buddies outdoors on weekend evenings, I hope he starts again.

I really like that this place does live sidewalk music, usually jazz and blues. The food, however, is sub-par bordering on awful. Id much rather go to George's or Le Bouchon for my French fix. Thats just my opinion based on my experiences though. Give it a try and come to your own conclusion.

Max is the current owner and I hate to break this to y'all but Le Moulin might not last much longer--and now I know why. I must say, though, that I'm puzzled by all the trash talking. How many of you people have really given them a chance? It's a sad state of affairs when he lowers his prices (which was already low for the quality of the food!) and still no one comes. Support your locals or you'll lose them. I heard Burger King was offering him something for his space. I suppose you'd prefer that, eh?

You can tell when customers want you to respect their privacy, but that doesn't prevent the owner from greeting people and making people feel welcome. Big difference.
