Loiterers' days may be numbered

The local police were at the Village Council meeting on Thursday. The "80 cents guy" and others were brought up for discussion. The police say they will "police" the area near The Bookstore near Grand Avenue and the areas where the loiterers hang out and accost tourists getting off the tour buses. We brought this up in the Grapevine here.

These loiterers also have a headquarters next to New York Pizza under a tree. They try to shake down Sonesta Guests and owners, and get down nasty with us at times. We have also complained for years, the police dont do anything to move them out.

Yet another blatantly clear example to illustrate The City of Miami's pathetic INEPTITUDE at using our tax dollars IN the Grove, and quickly fixing simple problems such as this one.

Do you think that in a City that is well-run we'd have these poor people (I also feel sorry for them) HARRASSING our neighbours, tourists and Visitors?

Honestly, this should not be tolerated. The Grove depends on Tourism and visitors. These people make us look terrible, and The City is obviously Incompetent in relocating them.
