Is too much green a bad thing?

I hear from one of the mail carriers at the Grove post office that they went so overboard with the new plantings that they don't really have much room for the mail trucks and employees' cars behind the post office now. They actually added trees and plants there, as well.

I got an email about the drive-thru from a friend, and I wondered about it myself -- there are no mailboxes at the drive-thru lane. You just drive in and out and there is no place to deposit mail.

One day I saw a car in the parking lot behind the dry cleaners and the UPS store and the driver was handing his mail to the parking lot attendant. I wonder if that's the way to go. Hand the mail to him and he'll bring it into the UPS store where they also end up mailing the letters.

According to Reuters, the Postal Service lost $5.1 billion last year.

My old friend is a letter carrier. He told me that his mail sack is so light, that he must walk extra slowly so that he doesn't finish his route too early!
