The bike racks have arrived; I think

A reader Jon sent me this photo from his cell phone.

He was thrilled that he left his bike in front of CocoWalk, stopped in at Starbucks and then had the bike there in one piece when he got back.

It's a shame that you have to pray that your bike is there and in one piece when you get back. But I think things are ok now at CocoWalk.

Is that the new bike rack?

Hard to tell from the photo, but this looks like it might be on the public sidewalk and off the CocoWalk property. If so, any grabbing of the bike by the CocoWalk goons could subject them to criminal charges of theft.
Also, CocoWalk made a big deal about how their new racks were going to be installed in August. Anyone seen them or what this so much p.r. claptrap?

I guess only two people on bikes can visit Cocowalk at the same time.

Someone should conduct a sting operation. Chain a bike to the tree located in this pic, or to a sign on the public street and see if the Cocowalk security takes it.

Better yet, give the Bike to an "officer" there on one of them ugly "information" booths, and leave it there, I'll drop one there this week, just for kicks..Hopefully the officer can use it to get home on our tax bucks.
