Although I vote for Democrats most of the time, I do jump ship when I find a good one.
About a month ago I met Carlos when he was canvassing my neighborhood. Unfortunately for him, it was on a day when I was pretty upset about some issues here in Miami Dade County. He not only listened to me for about an hour, but has followed up on my concerns. He called to make sure I got the information he was able to obtain for me, and even sent me a note thanking me for speaking with him.
When does that ever happen? Other elected officials I have written to, rarely seem to care about the average person here.
Just in case you haven’t yet voted, give it some thought.
