"Voices" premiers next month in the Grove
Sidney Portier and Lou Gossett Jr. will be in town next month for the premier of "Voices," a local documentary by Jeffrey Portier, Sidney's nephew.
"Voices" is a four year project which chronicles the beginnings of Coconut Grove, which as you know, started in Village West and was settled by Bahamians who left their island and settled here in the 1800s.
The showing is free to the public at AMC CocoWalk at 8 pm, on Saturday, October 25 and there is a meet and greet before, at 7 pm. The reception is open to the public as well at no cost.
